Originally Del McCoury & a Dixie Pals by using Del in guitar and his brother Jerry McCoury in bass, a band went across a total of changes until the late eighties while the band solidified its line-higher adding Ronnie McCoury and Robbie McCoury on mandolin and banjo, severally. It grew to prominence inside 2001 sustaining a O Brother bluegrass boom that shortly followed a release of the Coen Brothers' movie which was fuelled per bluegrass & oldtimey soundtrack. At this point it got been joined by Jason Carter on fiddle and Mike Bub on bass. Mike Bub left the band within 2005.
